The Soloveiko Songbird, known as the Nightingale in English, is the national bird of Ukraine. It is a symbol of song and happiness. This project is a collaboration between Svitlana Reinish , Anton Dehtiarov, BlckBox, M3 Industries and Amigo & Amigo.
The intention of the art installation was to advocates for Ukraine in a celebration of sharing stories and culture. 12 Soloveiko from different regions of Ukraine and autonomous Republic of Crimea were commissioned for Eurovision and travelled to Liverpool to contribute their song to the audiences at Eurovision.
Each Soloveiko will be placed in a unique location around Liverpool. The public are invited to follow the Soloveiko Songbird map to discover the songs and stories each nightingale has come to share about their homeland.
Celebrate EuroFestival 2023 with the spirit of song, colour and community that unites us all.
