n many cultures mushrooms are considered a symbol of luck: to find a mushroom means that good luck is at hand. Shrooms is an immersive artwork of 10 giant inflatable mushroom shapes that encourage our social nature while contrasting with the urban environment. The work was inspired when Simone noticed mushrooms had popped up in the streets of the industrial area where she lives in Sydney, Australia. Their ability to emerge in unexpected environments for only a couple of days fascinated her: like a little gift from nature in the grey urban environment.
